Calvary Free Lutheran Church is affliated with the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (AFLC) headquartered in Minneapolis, MN. The AFLC is a fellowship of nearly 300 independent congregations bound together bound together by a common cause and common tasks – evangelism and discipleship. We seek, in a very practical way, to carry out the principle of the “universal priesthood of all belivers.” That is, we beliver that the lay men and women of our congregations are called by God to be a personal witness for Christ in their faith, both in public and in private.

The AFLC is not a synod but an association where the authority and autonomy of the local congregation is emphasized. On the 23 acre campus of the AFLC headquarters is also located a two year college level Bible school (AFLBS)  that focuses on the Word of God and personal spiritual growth and a four year seminary (AFLTS)  that focuses on training pastors and missionaries who, in turn, train and equip lay people for spiritual service.
